Covington County Jail is a 747-beds regional correctional facility in Collins, Mississippi. It houses about 623 inmates under the supervision of over 170 staff members. The Covington County Jail is operated by Covington County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Covington County Jail holds more than 521 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 16% of them being women.
