Hill County Jail is a 739-beds regional correctional facility in Havre, Montana. It houses about 677 inmates under the supervision of over 142 staff members. The Hill County Jail is operated by Hill County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Hill County Jail holds more than 462 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 15% of them being women.
Hill County Jail was founded in and named after Havre, a popular associate justice at the Supreme court of Montana.
