Valencia County Detention Center is a 762-beds regional correctional facility in Los Lunas, New Mexico. It houses about 636 inmates under the supervision of over 150 staff members. The Valencia County Detention Center is operated by Valencia County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Valencia County Detention Center holds more than 545 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 15% of them being women.
