Cherokee County Jail is a 745-beds regional correctional facility in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. It houses about 620 inmates under the supervision of over 132 staff members. The Cherokee County Jail is operated by Cherokee County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Cherokee County Jail holds more than 545 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 17% of them being women.

Cherokee County Jail was founded in and named after Tahlequah, a popular associate justice at the Supreme court of Oklahoma.
