Hale County Jail is a 760-beds regional correctional facility in Plainview, Texas. It houses about 615 inmates under the supervision of over 169 staff members. The Hale County Jail is operated by Hale County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Hale County Jail holds more than 474 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 16% of them being women.
