Potter County Jail is a 778-beds regional correctional facility in Amarillo, Texas. It houses about 607 inmates under the supervision of over 160 staff members. The Potter County Jail is operated by Potter County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Potter County Jail holds more than 463 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 15% of them being women.

Potter County Jail was founded in and named after Amarillo, a popular associate justice at the Supreme court of Texas.
