Richmond County Law Enforcement Center is a 775-beds regional correctional facility in Augusta, Georgia. It houses about 684 inmates under the supervision of over 122 staff members. The Richmond County Law Enforcement Center is operated by Richmond County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Richmond County Law Enforcement Center holds more than 455 federal inmates daily. The largest population of inmates here are men, with just 20% of them being women.
