Erie County Jail is a 738-beds regional correctional facility in Sandusky, Ohio. It houses about 653 inmates under the supervision of over 135 staff members. The Erie County Jail is operated by Erie County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Erie County Jail holds more than 453 federal inmates daily.
