The Marion County Jail is operated by Marion County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Marion County Jail holds more than 478 federal inmates daily.
