The Rains County Jail is operated by Rains County Sherriff, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Federal U.S. Marshal, among other major agencies. Consequently, in addition to housing local offenders, the Rains County Jail holds more than 522 federal inmates daily.
